1950 Styleline Deluxe Coupe. Was originally a 235 ci Powerglide transmission car.
This coupe is no stranger to being street-rodded. When Dave bought it from a friend back in the eighties it had been converted to a small block Buick engine and was painted black. It sat in a storage lot in Portsmouth for several years while military duties and other "more important" things were going on.
A 1966 327 was built and backed with a 350 Turbo for motivation in the mid-eighties. Sometime later a Nova sub-frame was grafted to the original frame and looks like it came that way! The 50 has been improved a little at a time over the past 25 years with the interior being very nicely redone, body work done, drivetrain updated, and paint. But it never was finished 100%.
Now it is going to be complete. It is in the hands of a good friend that is a master when it comes to body and paint. The car was blasted to bare-metal many years ago and no doubt it will be stripped again. I'll update as pictures become available.
